Hoa Nguyen Tarot Card Reading and Benefit for Counterpath, Saturday, February 23 at 1:00 PM

On Saturday, February 23 from 1:00 to 5:30 p.m. Hoa Nguyen gave individual, 15-minute tarot consultations using the Mythic Deck.

Utilizing the Celtic Spread, she interpreted the past, present and future. All that was required was a focused question and the purchase of two books from Counterpath. Hoa’s recent full length collection of poetry As Long As Trees Last (Wave Books, 2012) was available for sale and signing. Only 16 tarot spots were available; Hoa’s tarot interpretations enjoy a loyal, international following.

Born in the Mekong Delta and raised in the Washington, D.C. area, Hoa Nguyen studied Poetics at New College of California in San Francisco. With the poet Dale Smith, Nguyen founded Skanky Possum, a poetry journal and book imprint in Austin, TX where they lived for 14 years. The author of eight books and chapbooks, she currently lives in Toronto Ontario where she teaches poetics in a private workshop and at Ryerson University. Wave Books published her third full-length collection of poems, As Long As Trees Last, in September 2012.
