Nafas Reading Series: Bo Hwang and Xavier Prince, Thursday, January 29, 2026, 7pm

Please join us on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 7pm at Counterpath (7935 East 14th Ave.) for readings and performances by Bo Hwang and Xavier Prince.
Bo Hwang is staying at Nafas Residency in Denver for three weeks in January and, for this event, will be joined by Xavier Prince. Bo will present from work in progress. Xavier will read poems and prose poems from his first book project On the Love
Nafas Reading Series, curated by writer and translator poupeh missaghi, hosted by Nafas Residency and Counterpath, brings together guests at the residency with local writers and artists for presentations of their work and conversation.
Nafas Residency is a new solitary residency in Denver, CO, offering space to writers, translators, artists, and humanities scholars. Priority is given to marginalized communities and/or projects. The space is pay-as-you-wish and has a simple application process so that it can stay accessible to a wide range of our community. Bo Hwang is an artist and writer working with poetry and movement. Recent works include abalone, a performance, object, and chapbook (Counterpath) and yearly in old pool, an artist book (Sister C Press). Other collections, Nightlaps and Squat Practice were finalists, respectively, for Wendy’s Subway and Essay Press. Bo’s movements and performances, solo and collaborative, have been shared at SITE Santa Fe, Leon Gallery, Counterpath, Bushel Collective, Pratt University and the Los Angeles Contemporary Archive. Bo has taught movement workshops at The Poetry Project and The Jack Kerouac School.

Xavier Prince is a PhD candidate in prose at the University of Denver. He uses experimental forms to explore memoir, Black existentialism, and the potential of radical Love. He’s interested in America, and Christianity.
