Second Prison Project at City Park Jazz, Sunday July 31, 2016, 5-8 p.m.
On Sunday, July 31, from 5-8 p.m. , the Second Prison Project takes over the Counterpath tent at City Park Jazz. Representatives of the Second Prison Project, including director Jesse Wiese, will be on hand to discuss their project and the phenomenon, specific to the United States, of fully 25% of the adult population having a criminal record.
The Second Prison Project’s new book with Counterpath, Locked Out: Voices from America’s Second Prison, which includes personal interviews with a range of former inmates about the extreme challenges of living with a criminal record, will be featured at this event. The band Imagine will be playing on the main stage.
