Tender Buttons: Marathon Reading: April 28, 2014
On Monday, April 28 at 7 p.m. Counterpath hosted a marathon reading of Gertrude Stein’s Tender Buttons, “a touchstone work of radical modernist poetry” and still influential a hundred years after its original publication. The reading, co-hosted and organized by Mathias Svalina, should run till about 10:30 p.m. and will overlap with a durational performance by artist Teresa Albor: “100 Paintings in 24 Hours.” The corrected, centennial edition of Tender Buttons, newly out by City Lights, were on sale at the event.
