In UtopiaJoey Yearous-Algozin rewrites the first of the seven Saw movies in the second person, using the undated version of James Wan and Leigh Whannell’s script available on imsdb.com. Reduced to the scenes that take place in Jigsaw’s traps, Utopia eliminates Jigsaw as well, leaving behind only a single character chained to a pipe in a room or pursuing themselves through darkened hallways.

Joey Yearous-Algozin is the author of Caller Removed (TROLL THREAD, 2016), Holly Melgard’s Friends and Family (Bon Aire Projects, 2014) and The Lazarus Project (TROLL THREAD and GAUSSPDF, 2010-13), among others. He’s a member of the publishing collective, TROLL THREAD.
