Join us for the launch of Justin Wymer’s debut poetry collection, Deed (Elixir Press, 2019), winner of the 2018 Antivenom Poetry Prize.

Cass Eddington and Selah Saterstrom will also read from their work, casting echoes, adding to the music of the night.

JUSTIN WYMER is a poet and educator from West Virginia. He holds degrees from Harvard University and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. He has received awards and fellowships from the Radcliffe Institute, Academy of American Poets, Rockefeller Foundation, Harvard Office for the Arts, and the Spanish Ministry of Culture and Sport. His poems, essays, and translations have appeared in many venues, including Boston Review, Conjunctions, Gulf Coast, Kenyon Review, Lana Turner, and Denver Quarterly, where he recently curated a folio on queer-trauma-related literature. CASSANDRA (CASS) EDDINGTON is a poet from Utah. Her manuscript if the garden was a finalist in Kelsey Street Press’s FIRSTS! competition. Some poems can be found in La Vague, Word For/Word, Otoliths, ditch, and grazing grains miniature collection. She has worked in community arts organizing and develops curriculum and teaches for Colorado State University’s online creative writing minor. She is a PhD student at the University of Denver.

SELAH SATERSTROM is the author of the novels Slab, The Meat and Spirit Plan, The Pink Institution, and the collection of essays, Ideal Suggestions, which was selected for the Essay Book Prize. She teaches and lectures throughout the United States and abroad and is the Director of Creative Writing at the University of Denver.
