Please join us Thursday, March 7, 2019, at 7pm for a reading by Khadijah Queen, Thirii Myo Kyaw Myint, and Brian Ladilaw. Free and open to the public.

Thirii Myo Kyaw Myint is the author of the novel The End of Peril, the End of Enmity, the End of Strife, a Haven (Noemi Press, 2018) and the forthcoming family history project Zat Lun, which won the 2018 Graywolf Press Nonfiction Prize. She is currently completing a Ph.D. in creative writing at the University of Denver, editing the Denver Quarterly, and teaching narrative nonfiction at Lighthouse Writers Workshop. 

Khadijah Queen is the author of five books, most recently I’m So Fine: A List of Famous Men & What I Had On (YesYes Books 2017). Her verse play Non-Sequitur (Litmus Press) won the Leslie Scalapino Award for Innovative Women’s Performance Writing, which included a staged production at Theaterlab NYC in 2015. Individual works appear in Fence, Tin House, Gulf Coast, American Poetry Review and widely elsewhere. She is an assistant professor of creative writing at University of Colorado, Boulder.

Brian Laidlaw is a poet-songwriter whose recent books include AMORATORIUM (Paper Darts Press, 2014), THE STUNTMAN (Milkweed Editions, 2015), and THE MIRRORMAKER (Milkweed Editions, 2018), each of which was released with a companion album of original music. Brian is working toward a Ph.D. in Creative Writing at the University of Denver, and continues to tour nationally as a folksinger, both solo and with his band The Family Trade.
