Join us on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 6:30pm at Counterpath (7935 East 14th Ave. in Denver) for a special performance of Aerik Francis’s Miseducation, with music by Angie Ráfaga. Free and open to the public.

Aerik Francis (they/them) is a Queer Black & Latinx poet & teaching artist born & based in Denver, CO. Aerik is the author of the poetry chapbook, BODYELECTRONIC (Trouble Department 2022). Their second chapbook MISEDUCATION was named as the winner for the 2022 New Delta Review Chapbook Contest and was published in May 2023. Angie Ráfaga is an electric guitarist from Denver, CO. She co-founded the Dominican-American banda de fusión La Ráfaga in Santo Domingo in 2016. While in the process of bringing the band to Denver, she released her first solo EP Ráfagas de Angie in fall of 2024, available on all streaming platforms. As a lover of poetry and punk rock, she is deeply honored to provide music for the righteous verses of MISEDUCATION.
