On Wednesday, August 30, 2017, 7pm, Zachary Schomburg is coming to Denver to read from his fiction, reading with Steven Dunn and Mairead Case, who will read from their fiction! Doors open at 7, reading starts at 7:30. Snacks! Beverages! Fiction, Fiction, Fiction!
Zachary Schomburg is the author of a novel, Mammother (Featherproof Books, 2017) and four books of poems from Black Ocean. Along with Mathias Svalina, he is the co-founder of the small poetry press, Octopus Books. He is also a teacher and an illustrator, and he still lives in Portland, Ore.
Steven Dunn is the author of the novel Potted Meat (Tarpaulin Sky 2016). He was born and raised in West Virginia. Some of his work can be found in Columbia Journal and Granta Magazine. His second novel water & power is forthcoming from Tarpaulin Sky in Fall 2018.
Mairead Case is a working writer in Colorado. She is a PhD candidate at DU, Summer Writing Program Coordinator at the Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics, and a teacher at these places as well as the Denver women’s jail. Before Denver Mairead lived in Chicago for a decade, where she worked for Louder Than a Bomb, Punk Planet, and the Poetry Foundation, and organized neighborhood-led radical pedagogy workshops. She serves as a Legal Observer with the National Lawyers’ Guild. Mairead is the author of See You In the Morning (featherproof), a novel, and Tenderness (Meekling), a poetry chapbook.
