Counterpath hosted Bianca Stone and Sommer Browning for a reading on Tuesday, March 25 at 7 p.m.

Bianca Stone grew up in Vermont, and graduated with an MFA from NYU’s Creative Writing Program. She is the author of Someone Else’s Wedding Vows (Tin House/Octopus Books, 2014), several poetry and poetry comic chapbooks, and is also the illustrator of Antigonick, (a collaboration with Anne Carson). Her poems have appeared in magazines such as American Poetry Review, Tin House, and Crazyhorse. She lives in Brooklyn.

Sommer Browning writes poems, draws comics, and tells jokes.

Her next book of poetry, Backup Singers, is due out from Birds, LLC this spring. She is also the author of THE BOWLING (Greying Ghost, 2010) with Brandon Shimoda and Either Way I’m Celebrating (Birds, LLC). Her poems and drawings have appeared in The New York Quarterly, Everyday Genius, Typo, Octopus, past simple, Free Verse, The Stranger, and other places. She curates The Bad Shadow Affair, a reading series and she co-edits Flying Guillotine Press. She lives in Denver with Noah Eli Gordon and a baby.
