Reading: Candace Nunag Tardío, Bri Gonzalez, and Mark Guziel, Saturday, April 19, 2025, 7pm

Join us on Saturday, April 19, 2025, 7pm, for a reading by Candace Tardio, Bri Gonbzalez, and Mark Guziel. The event takes place at Counterpath, 7935 East 14th Ave. in Denver, and is free and open to the public.

Candace R. Nunag holds an MFA from the University of Colorado Boulder. She is a literary prose writer whose work is centered on biracial subjectivity and identity; specifically, her work engages with multicultural practices of grief and mourning while also exploring topics like technology, addiction, suicide, and survivorship.

Bri Gonzalez is a Chicane, queer writer from San Antonio, Texas. Their debut collection, A WELLNESS CHECK (Game Over Books, 2024) investigates diagnosis and institutional violence by putting prescription pads and glitter pens in the fists of Gotham’s Dark Knight. Lately, Bri’s been wondering how writing even works.

Mark Guziel is currently a first-year poetry PhD student at the University of Denver’s English department. He received his MFA from Portland State University where he was a two-time Braley Award winner for excellence in poetry and taught undergraduates there as well.
