The show will be up from January 16, 2026, to February 28, 2026, with an opening reception on Saturday January 17, 2026, from 10am to 2pm. After that open days are Saturdays, 9am to 1pm. Please see the exhibition website here.
From Hsa’s statement on the exhibition website: Knyaw Art is my upcoming solo exhibition, consisting of 40+ drawings and paintings exploring my Karen heritage, basically my attempt to reconnect with a culture I’ve spent way too long feeling disconnected from. These pieces weave together traditional stories and my contemporary diaspora experiences. Karen/Knyaw people, an ethnic minority from Myanmar and Thailand, have maintained distinct cultural traditions through generations of displacement, yet our voices remain largely absent from mainstream artistic spaces. This work is both cultural preservation and celebration, inviting the Knyaw community to see themselves honored and broader audiences to encounter a rich heritage often overlooked. If you’ve ever felt caught between worlds or searched for pieces of yourself in your heritage, this work is for you. Each piece is my way of honoring the faces, stories, and moments that connect me to home and…..keeping them alive.
